ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Calcium oxide is a white, hygroscopic inorganic compound obtained by calcining limestone (CaCO₃) at high temperatures.

Due to its moisture-absorbing property, it rapidly absorbs water vapor from the air and converts into calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂).

For this reason, it is used to control moisture in closed systems or packaging.

Additionally, in some applications, special polymeric or inorganic coatings are applied to calcium oxide particles to regulate moisture absorption capacity and enhance processing safety.
