Antioxidants are essential additives used to prevent thermal and oxidative degradation that may occur during the production and usage of plastic and polymer systems, ensuring the preservation of color and mechanical properties. They protect the polymer chain structure and delay the premature aging of the material by neutralizing free radicals formed due to high temperatures and shear forces during processing. Widely used in PE, PP, ABS, and other engineering plastics—especially PVC—antioxidants contribute to obtaining reliable and long-lasting products by increasing process stability.
