CA 58 (Calcium Stearate)

CA 58 (Calcium Stearate)

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Calcium stearate is a white, fine powdery metallic soap obtained by the reaction of stearic acid with calcium oxide or calcium salts.

This substance is water-insoluble and has a mild waxy odor. Due to its lubricating, mold releasing, and processing facilitating properties, it is widely used in the plastics, rubber, paint, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries.

Thanks to its water-repellent properties, it is also preferred in formulations that require protection from moisture.
