ABOUT THE PRODUCT

MG 18 (Magnesium Stearate) is the magnesium salt of stearic acid.

This metallic soap, in the form of a fine white powder, is used in high-temperature greases, and as a lubricant and mold release agent in the plastics and rubber industries.

It is insoluble in water and exhibits heat-resistant and water-repellent properties.

APPLICATION AREA

• Acts as a mold release agent, allowing thermoplastics to be easily removed from molds.

• Provides flame retardant and smoke suppression properties.

• As a lubricant, it reduces friction during processing and improves handling.

• Enhances thermal stability, improving product performance at high temperatures.

• Improves surface quality, giving gloss and smoothness.

• Its moisture-repellent property helps extend the shelf life of products.

It varies depending on the formulation, processing conditions and product type.

PACKAGING

The product is packaged in 20 kg PP or kraft bags or, upon request, in 1000 kg big bags

Appropriate personal protective equipment should be used. It is recommended to wear a mask, protective clothing, gloves, and eye/face protection.
