ZN 78 (Zinc Stearate)

ZN 78 (Zinc Stearate)

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

ZN 78 (Zinc Stearate) is a white, fine powder metallic soap obtained by the reaction of stearic acid with zinc oxide or zinc salts.

Insoluble in water and with a slight waxy odor, this substance is widely used in the plastics, rubber, paint, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries due to its lubricating, mold release, and processing aid properties.

It also functions as a heat stabilizer in PVC production.

Thanks to its water-repellent properties, it is preferred in formulations that require protection from moisture.

APPLICATION AREA

• Used as a heat stabilizer and processing lubricant in PVC production.

• Acts as a lubricant in the production of all types of compounds, including masterbatch, engineering plastics, and calcite compounds made from polymers like PE, PP, etc.

• Functions as a mold release agent, facilitating easy removal of thermoplastics from molds during processing.

• Used to increase fluidity and ease of processing in plastics such as polyolefins, polystyrene, and ABS.

• Enhances the surface quality of plastic products, providing gloss and smoothness.

• Its water-repellent properties help reduce the effect of moisture on products.
