OB – OB1 (Optical Brighteners)

Optical brighteners OB and OB-1 are specialized additives used to enhance the visual quality of products, mask yellowing, and achieve a whiter, brighter appearance in plastic and polymer applications. By absorbing UV light and emitting fluorescence in the blue-violet region, they improve the color perception of the final product and provide a homogeneous surface appearance. OB-type optical brighteners are preferred in PVC compounds, film, and cable applications by offering high efficiency at low and medium process temperatures; whereas OB-1 shows effective performance in polymer systems processed at high temperatures, such as rigid PVC, PET, PBT, ABS, and masterbatches, thanks to its high heat resistance. These products, compatible with extrusion and injection processes, offer effective results even at low dosages, supporting stability and long-term aesthetic quality in the production process.
